It’s a New Day!!!
I got my birthday present yesterday and boy, oh boy, what a gift it is. I got a Nikon D70s camera with 2 lens, 70-300mm and 28-105, and a UV Filter. I ordered a 1gig CF memory chip today that runs at 133X speed (the last little ole Epson digital zoom camera I had used 12X chips!!!) which will arrive next week and I am ready to kick some booty!!
I have been so impressed and blown away by the quality that the Nikon cameras generate that this new “toy” has me really stoked. Let’s see how far the imagination can take me now in photography. Living here in paradise, I will start shooting tomorrow by going to the Downtown Marina area, and branching out from there. With my little 16mg old CF card, I can only take 8 pics or so at a time, so it will be back home, dump the pics, go out for more and so on for a few trips tomorrow. Then I will impatiently wait for the new card to arrive.
Now I have to get signed up for a Nikon forum so I can learn about my new camera from the folks who really know. I plan on upgrading some of my photos that are magnets on my other site, EverythingMagnets and I hope to get some really great stuff in Milwaukee when I visit there in 2 weeks. Another city to add to the collection of magnets. Old architecture is a favorite of mine along with people watching, water, and lighthouses. So, stay tuned folks, there will be some new product generated and announced soon.
As this blog thing is fairly new to me, I welcome any and all comments about the Nikon, or even some favorite photos you’ve taken with your Nikon. Remember to keep them small when you upload, but share away!!!
time to do some web work,
